Progress Report
Hello All,
My parents went to their first parent/teacher conference the other day. Apparently I'm doing great! Senora Sala-Healey said I was a bit shy at first but I have really warmed up. I'm very well behaved and she never has to worry about me not cooperating. I need to work on my cutting and writing skills but apparently have impressed her with being a quick learner and knowing a lot of stuff. And I'm really picking up the Spanish too. So all in all, the ol' parents were quite pleased.
Love,
Finnie

If a Tree Falls in the Woods and No One is There to Hear It Does It Make a Sound?
Tonight upon returning home from swim lessons, my Mom yelled "Emer, we are home." Is she crazy or what? I told her "She can't answer you back."
The Marriage Bed
Finn and Angelina, friend from Pre-K, have long said they plan to marry. Angelina has been known to dance around her house singing "Some day my prince will come, some day Finn will come."
The other night Finn was surrounded in his bed by his usual large assortment of stuffed animals, aka "buddies."
Mom: Are you still going to sleep with so many buddies when you are a grown man?
Finn: Yes, and Angelina is going to ask me why we have so many buddies in our bed.
Kindergarten Highlights a Few Weeks In
- Take the bus - have a regular seat buddy I sit with and he's older, a 1st grader!
- Bringing lunch from home - Mom packs exactly what I want.
- Gym, Recess, Music, Computer Lab, and Library - all fun breaks in the day!
- Made my first classroom buddy, Bjorn. He gave me an army man toy.
- Think my teacher Sra. Sala-Healey is so nice.
- Love learning Spanish all day long and coming home to share with the fam.
- Turns out math is quite fun.
- Go to bed tired from all that good knowledge I've crammed in my noggin during the day. Wonder if any of it will spill out my ears???
- Now understand why everyone lives for the weekend!
- Last but not least, know that my parents are SUPER proud of me!
Summer Wrap-Up
Finished the summer off strong.
- Wrapped things up at BBY School after 5+ years (see separate post with some last day pics.)
- Went to Y camp with Luke, Alex, and Zach. Swimming, park play, zoo, Minnehaha Falls, Pump It Up, Chuck E Cheese, and on and on. Good times!
- Hit the Fair and ate up a storm with the relies.
- Aquarium, Children's Museum, Zoo, and a few other fun outings the parents crammed in before school started.
