How to Enjoy January in MN
Here's how I like to spend my time when the weather outside is not always cooperating:
1. Have my parents sing "Happy Birthday" to a long list of individuals...Daddy, Mommy, Emerson, Pop-Pop (Grandpa), Ginga (Grandma), uncle Kyle, cousin Michael, Thomas and all the other engines, Essi (my teacher), and so on. I thought it was just a fun expression until my Mommy told me it was also a song.
2. Play Ring-Around-The-Rosie. By the way, if someone holds onto you, this can be played both on dry land and in the bath-tub I discovered.
3. Watch Frosty the Snowman on TV. Now some folks are partial to the original and some to the one where Frosty gets married. Personally I enjoy both. Thank God for the DVR!
4. Go swimming at the club with my parents. I like to kick my legs while hanging onto the kick board. Afterwards we go in the whirlpool to warm up. Love me some bubbles...
5. Coloring with crayons or markers, preferably I get my Mommy to draw a train engine or cars and I color them in.
6. Playing hockey game at the park with my Daddy if the weather is good. Playing hockey game inside if it is not. I have my own stick but I don't know how to check yet.
7. Translating what I've learned from watching Zoboomafoo about animal-human relations to my own interactions with Emerson our cat. Still haven't gotten her to let me brush her teeth. Maybe cats don't worry about dental hygiene? What would 4 out of 5 dentists say about that I wonder?
8. Pushing the cart at Byerly's. I zoom around that grocery store in record time, only stopping for the cheese samples in the deli area. And to sneak things in the cart.
9. Playing Hide-And-Seek in the upstairs bedroom. I am a great seeker. I sit down, cover my face, and wait till my parents tell me to come looking. Not so great yet on the hiding part. I get too excited and run out from my hiding spot right away.
10. Writing on my blog about all my adventures.
